The new Lyons & Casey website was the perfect way for me to ease my way out of maternity leave and back into the Cookie kitchen. I got to work with two awesome women Mayrose Lyons and Taryn Casey, had loads of creative freedom and a blank slate and the added bonus of proper and gorgeous studio photographs! (Careful visiting Mark Nixon‘s website you can loose an hour there too easily) It also gave our newest employee Keith an opportunity to play around with a little JQuery and get some lovely movement into the one page site.

The website had to stand out from the crowd – but not in an outlandish way. It needed to be a confident expression of what Lyons & Casey are about – great ideas, actual results, a lot of experience. And it needed be concise without the waffle. Together we thought that a one page website might deliver these concepts in the best way. And so it did! From Maryrose…

Our tagline for our new social media service is “You Get Us & We ‘Get’ You”. When it came to working with a designer who would ‘get us’ there was no question of working with any other than Heidi at CookieWeb! One meeting and she got what we wanted. We are delighted with our beautiful one page website. And Heidi did a great job at creating it without any branding or logo or any other starting point.

The first Primary Care Conference is being held on Thursday 17th November in Livinghealth Centre, Cork. Healthcare professionals and service providers are invited to attend the conference, discover to the speakers and presentations, and take part in the panel discussions.

This healthcare event is organised by Investnet, and the brief for the project was to create a clean and professional design. Built on WordPress, the site is easy to update which is essential as the conference agenda and speakers are revised and added to regularly. Westmeath Food Network Goes Live

For all you foodies out there Westmeath Food Network’s new website is definitely a must visit site for you.

The network was established in early 2010 to develop the food sector in the county and is made up of a collection of like minded food producers from the local Westmeath area. The site is full of information on each of the members, from the food they produce to where you can purchase their mouth-watering produce, it also has a great blog with delicious recipies and news on upcoming events. Save this site to your favourites as we are sure it will keep you coming back for more!

The fantastic new website for the Green Village Music and Arts Festival has just gone live! This is definately one to check out for all you festival goers out there. This family freindly festival takes place on Saturday 24th September in the remarkable parkland of Mount Druid in the village of Castletown Geoghegan, Co. Westmeath, just a few miles off the M6 motorway.

This music festival in westmeath will celebrate the best of Irish community with a one day programme of contemporary and traditional music, old time dance, poetry and literature as well as children’s events. Arthurstown Landfill – Clean & Green

Cookieweb recently launched the new website for Arthurstown Landfill. Arthurstown Landfill is essentially a dumping ground for public waste. People tend to have a bad impression of what goes on there. However these guys want to tell the world about the kind of innovations that they have going on on- site. For instance the rubbish comes in palettes, it’s then stacked and covered by dirt. Because it’s very organised there is very little smell or vermin around. To keep vermin (rats, mice, seagulls) at bay these guys use falcons and eagles to keep the pests to a minimum. After the waste is covered by dirt it begins to break down and the gas released is captured and this green energy used to power much of the houses in local area. They are the largest Landfill gas to Electricity generation facility in Ireland. Check out their site.
